GETTING THERE

Lenox is located in far western Massachusetts, approximately 10 miles from Pittsfield, the town where Kim grew up. (map) It is a 3hr drive from Boston and New York. The nearest airport is Albany, NY, which is still an hour away (49 miles). Another alternative is Hartford, CT (73 miles). Lenox is also served by two bus lines: Bonanza (1-800-556-3815) and Peter Pan (1-800-343-9999) which also service the New York and Boston airports, but they will take longer than 3 hours.

If you do not want to rent a car, you can either hitch a ride to Lenox with other wedding guests who are flying in and out of Boston or New York (please let us know if you are interested in this option) and once there, you only need to find rides to the ceremony and reception, which should be very straightforward.

LODGING

Lenox has more than 20 bed and breakfasts to choose from, along with many nearby motels. Late August is high season for Lenox, so be sure you book your lodging a few months in advance. Below you will find some suggestions, but feel free to browse this excellent site http://www.lenox.org (click on lodging) for more options.

Our families have decided to rent a very large house in Lenox ("Winter Palace", 19 Bishop's Estate Rd., see Map & Directions) for the week leading up to and including the wedding - we're checking in Monday 8/25 and leaving Monday 9/1. Please drop by and say hello - it promises the usual dose of Cobb-Sluzki chaos, with an Italian twist.

Most of the Lenox B&B's will want a 3-night minimum for Labor Day weekend. If you want to stay for one or two nights only, check out the lodging options outside Lenox (bottom of page).

We suggest that you make reservations for Friday through Sunday ( 8/29-9/1, three nights) at one of the following B&B's, which are located very near the Lenox center. You will find slightly cheaper rates outside Lenox, but you will probably not pay less than $100/night. 

If you are traveling alone and would like to share a room with another guest, please let either Manu or I know and we'll ask around.
